Software Upgrade Notice

Scheduled Software Update Information for February 2024

We will be releasing a software upgrade for our product in the coming days.  This update includes several improvements and new features that will enhance your user experience.  Read the notice below to find out about the key updates that come with this release and what actions, if any, you need to do as part of this update.

Key updates in this release

Point of Sale

  • Using the F4 reprice by discount structure feature no longer disables the pricing and discount matrix for subsequent transactions.
  • Till payments via EFTPOS are now supported
  • You can no longer mouse click into the *TALLY description cell.
  • Delivery dockets now obey the “code to print – use invoice” option.
  • The new F4 Reprice screen in POS will now apply any user specified contract/discount regardless of existing customer contracts.
  • The Price trace function can now be pinned to the right-hand side of POS. This is enabled by using the tick box on the price trace popup
  • Systems configured with the Trade Hub option enabled – when a customer document transaction occurs, this will be sent to all branches per the distribution table, not just the owner branch.
    Docket printer header details now uses the new store table instead of the posname.xxx files

Customers

  • Creating new customer codes from debtor insert, or the Mighty Rewards auto account creation will now skip over any account that has existing debtor record, debtor card, debtor history or invoice history data.
  • The Rental movement enquiry will now sort correctly by date and time.
  • Integrated Eftpos payment details will now show in debtor transaction enquiry when viewing the receipt transaction.
  • Debtor alter, history details can now show values over 1 million.
  • Adjustment notes attached to debtor statements will now be correctly labelled as an adjustment.
  • The customer search window will now show the debtor group name as well as the numberThe Debtor Transaction Enquiry secondary grid will now show the value of the Invoice Rounding line.
  • Altering debtor invoice comments now updates the data correctly to ensure the reprinting of invoices is correct.
  • A method clearing the debtor code in Debtor Allocations during the data entry process has been corrected. 

Products

  • The product SQL search function will now automatically re-search with an expanded record limitation when you page down and exceed the number of records retrieved.
  • This gives you quick search response time, with the ability to search through all results.
  • An AV in the product dashboard with a large number of terminals has been corrected.
  • The Stock Status report timber printout now accurately reflects rack and pack data.
  • A method of incorrectly removing contract data in the maintenance form has been corrected.
  • Extended product filtering has been applied to the base product reports, this will improve reporting performance when you run a report in a sort order other than the filters you use (for example: sorted by FLC, but filtered by department)
  • The SQL product search function keys (F2-F6) will now sort the list of products returned by the desired field.
  • When multiple contacts exist for a customer for a product Customer Price list will use the same hierarchy as POS to get the contract price.
  • The product alter drag/drop image process will now only appends the “_xx” to the image filename if the file already exists on disk.
  • Return to Supplier now has two new options. F8 Return All Stock will load all items with stock on hand for the selected supplier to the grid. F10 will show the Product Dashboard.
  • The suggested order report now filters customer document data by selected location.
  • The Stock Adjustment approval process now uses the active line’s location number to view the transaction details.
  • A method of incorrectly removing contract data in the maintenance form has been corrected.
  • Stock movement enquiry now obeys the store location filter configuration.
  • The Alternate UOS maintenance now blocks the saving of quantities of 1 as these will always be displayed as the base sale UOM and the current retail price.
  • A looping issue in the SQL product search when paging up has been corrected.

Purchase Ordering

  • Receiving in timber products with the new timber tally now supports conversion factors correctly.
  • PDF filenames will now be consistent with the purchase order when emailing directly from the preview form.
  • Requisition Auto will now show the correct stock codes in the grid.
  • Type T products will no longer retain previous tally product details.
  • Goods in Batch has had a few interface changes. Additional hints when hovering over the left-hand menu options – as shown below.
  • The salesperson login now occurs when required or can be triggered when you click the salesperson login option in the top title bar. The salesperson logged in will be used for all operations until the program is closed.

  • Left hand menu now has a hover over colour to better indicate which menu option you are selecting.
  • The settings button has been moved to the top title bar.
  • A new GIB option to block the updating of batches with no deliveries has been added. This is available in the GIB setup
  • The purchase order print confirmation box will now remember the emails added when you press the preview button.
  • Sales quantity figures are now loaded into purchase order entry when loading data from a pde/pda/product list.
  • Processing inwards goods with alpha-numeric delivery dockets with a space at the start will now remove any leading spaces.

Claims

  • Exporting the claims search window to excel now formats correctly.

Creditors

  • The supplier invoice input process will now store the GST value on the product reconciliation table correctly.
  • Creditors Invoice Input will now prompt for price changes when altering costs and options are set to prompt.
  • Two step creditor invoices from inwards goods now stores the freight value if entered.
  • The creditor transaction GL details now supports viewing non-GL Link data.
  • The Creditors Batch Invoicing process now has the “All” option in the branch filter selection.
  • Creditors prompt payment now shows total values over 12 characters (1mil)

Payroll

  • Setting up employees with split payroll deduction codes now updates the details correctly.
  • Payslip printing bank disbursement option has been disabled for reprints.

General Ledger

  • A method of imbalancing the Stock integration when processing adjustments to products with negative onhand has been corrected.
  • GL budget reporting will now display higher values in the brackets that indicate negative values. 

System

  • The main menu will now show an indicator in the top right corner when the active network connection is WIFI – note that this is not a recommended setup.
  • The Gmail send process now traps failures and moves them to the failures bin accordingly.
  • SymSvc will now wait until the database engine is running before attempting to log into the software.
  • The Rental movement enquiry will now sort correctly by date and time.
  • A new “Copy from” option has been added to the staff member maintenance form which allows copying the security options from another staff member.
  • A new option to disable importing of data has been added to the security profiles. 
  • Emails with no recipient can no longer be created.
  • The System Dashboard now uses the new stores table.
  • Grid sorting on the Electronic invoice load process has been corrected Minor cosmetic change to allow the menu buttons to be slightly clearer.
  • Emails sent using Office 365 and Gmail will now obey the system configuration where the Rep email address is used if configured. Else the template reply-to address will be used. 

What you need to do

  • Once the update is downloaded and installed on your PC, you will need to restart your computer to ensure that all changes take effect.
